History:

Dave, Yvonne and kids live on the family farm which was homesteaded by his grandfather, Chris Fjaagesund in 1911.
I spent many years in the oil fields in Alberta before returning home to farm fulltime in 1992. When I first came home the farm was mainly grain with a few head of cattle, since then I have more than double the land. This is my last crop year as I have seeded the last of the farm land to pasture and hay land with a couple hundred of acres of oats for green feed. Presently I have a cow/calf operation of 300 head of mainly black and red Angus X, 40 of which are my own replacement heifers. My bulls are all registered Black Angus although I do run 40 head at the Val Jean Community Pasture in the red Angus field.
All beef sold off the farm are grass fed. I do vaccinate against blackleg and use minimal antibiotics as needed for the health of the animal.
