In 1997 I became the 3rd. generation of farming and ranching.  I farm with my dad, Terry,  16 miles southwest of Central Butte.  We also run a commercial cow/calf operation.

The cattle are on a yearly vaccination program and we follow the herd health program set up for us by our veterinarian. 

We start to calve the middle of April, the cows are calved out on the new grass.  Calves are weaned the middle of Oct. and backgrounded on sileage, hay, grain,and mineral ration until they are sold next spring.

In the spring and summer the herd grazes on tame pasture and native grass.  In the fall they swath graze until they are put onto the winter feeding program.
